Thank you Sarah Palin

Thank you Sarah Palin.

Thank you for being exactly what you and your party think Senator Obama is.

An inexperienced young person who can read a teleprompter. A talker who gives a speech with no content.

Much like Huckabee, Guiliani, and Romney before you, you made a great cheerleader for John McCain. You threw your GOP delegates a lot of red meat. You bashed and mocked Obama. You made fun of his speech and the columns behind him. You made fun of his comments about people clinging to religion. You made fun of his lack of experience, and you got a standing ovation.

Congratulations.

However, I must in fact point out that in your speech you offered nothing. You offered no depth, no vision, and no plan for the future. You support John McCain. We get it. But what are you going to do with your role in the Vice Presidency (that is, after you learn what the job entails)? What are your thoughts on the economy, on healthcare, on the war in Iraq (which your son is about to go fight in). What are your plans for the mortgage crisis, the emptying of social security, and most importantly what are your thoughts on National Security?

You claim that you want to fill Hillary Clinton’s role in this campaign. Well Governor Palin, Senator Clinton you are not. I know where she stands on issues and I know what she believes in, and from what I can tell it is everything you stand against.

Perhaps this was not the time for you to let us know your plan on any of these issues. Perhaps this was a speech for you to simply tell us who you are. You are a Hockey mom. That’s great. But what are you offering my country. Why are you running for office?

Perhaps we have to wait for your debate with Joe Biden so you can actually tell us anything of substance. For your sake I hope you are ready. You said you are ready for a challenge. And a challenge is what you will face.

Good luck,
LoOK

Here we have another blogger completely disregarding the fact that the American people have been waiting and waiting and waiting to hear how Obama plans to institute the "change" he vaguely preaches about. Obama disciples (like yourself) have been swooned by the rhetoric spewing from his mouth, without any regard for his record...which is undoubtedly lacking. Obama claims to bring change through "bipartisanship" and "unity", but the fact of the matter is that he can hardly unite his own party (as evidenced by Hilary Clinton taking a significant portion of the votes in the primaries). Answer this...why should we believe that the #1 most liberal and partisan senator in the senate (which is controlled by the most apathetic democrats ever witnessed in our nation's history) will suddenly become bipartisan. Your criticism of Palin is expected...and pathetic. Unlike Obama, who has not even been able to get his own legislation passed in a senate controlled by democrats, Palin has never passively voted "present" on anything. As for your petty comment about the teleprompter...have you heard Obama speak off-the-cuff? It's no coincidence that when he doesn't have a prepared speech his political knowledge and oratory skills are absent. Wake up and use your God-given ability to think rationally. Obama's selection of Biden as his running mate clearly indicates that he himself believes that he lacks years of appropriate experience. Why else would he choose someone who characterizes the "Old Washington" that he so strongly condemns? When faced with the decision to choose between a candidate with demonstrated experience that testifies to his bipartisanship and a candidate who has relied on an "image" of himself motivated by media coverage since day 1 of his campaign, I'll logically choose the candidate who exhibits true experience and has been instituting change for years, rather than just talking about it.

As always we welcome and appreciate all comments. However, I ask that comments be backed up with facts and/or quotes from the candidates themselves.

Here's a fact for you: Hussein's proposed budget is 343.6 billion dollars and McCain's is 68.5 billion. Considering the debt we already have, the only way he can pay for it is to raise taxes. Hussein is going to do everything he can to turn us into a socialist society. Redistribution of wealth is a central tenet of socialist philosophy. That is a fact.

Jaxx,

I don't know where you get your numbers from, but the only reference I could find to Obama's budget came from the LA Times and that said about $130 billion.

I got my numbers form this website: http://www.ntu.org/main/page.php?PageID=141

I enjoy seeing these budgets broken down into categories. What's this? Obama plans to spend more on veterans, more on national security, more on law enforcement, and more on education. He is projecting a budget (if these numbers are correct) for an entire nation. Heaven forbid it seems high. Sounds like he is putting country first. This $343 Billion is about two years in Iraq. The War John McCain has no plan to end.

Obama also states very clearly that he can pay for every penny of his budget mostly by getting rid (making government smaller, not bigger) of wasteful programs.
